Brief Biography

In 2017 Graham started the first medicinal cannabis service in Auckland NZ. His Cannabis Care Clinic in Sandringham Auckland provides Specialist GP consultations for legal medicinal cannabis CBD and THC prescriptions. Problems addressed include chronic pain relief, fibromyalgia treatment, cancer symptoms, anxiety, chronic insomnia and neurological conditions. Most patients have experienced little benefit or adverse effects from conventional medical treatment, or have been told there are no further treatments. Many report that medicinal cannabis offers symptom relief, improved quality of life and importantly, restores hope.

Graham has been appointed to the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council MRFF – 2020 Medicinal Cannabis Clinical Trials Grant Assessment Committee.  His general practice experience dates from 1983. Much of this work involves assessing and managing addictions and/or chronic pain. He is a FRNZCGP. Dr Gulbransen was in Grey Lynn and Kingsland, but now provides GP consultations at his Cannabis Care Clinic in St Lukes, Auckland.

Graham worked as a Senior Medical Officer at the Auckland Community Alcohol and Drugs Services (CADS) 1996 – 2012, completing his Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (FAChAM) in 2008. As an Addiction Specialist he manages alcohol and drug withdrawal, opioid substitution treatment, medication for chronic pain and he writes addiction assessments.
